The Zastava 750 was a supermini made by the Serbian car maker Zavod Crvena Zastava in Kragujevac. It was a version of the Fiat 600 made under licence from 1962 and was longer in length than the Fiat version.
Production of the Zastava 750 began on 18 October 1955 and ended on 18 November 1985. The car's popularity has started increasing in the last years, partly from the low fuel consumption and very cheap price as a second hand vehicle. Also it starting to become a symbol for nostalgia, and many youngsters that need cheap utilitarian vehicle with a bohemian status symbol are buying this car as a second hand vehicle. Because of that prices have risen in the last couple of years and many fan clubs have emerged.
The licensed Fiat 600 was produced in Yugoslavia in 1982 as Zastava 750. The car has been extensively restored in Fiat Abarth TC styling and converted to electric drive by Kessler energy GmBH in Germany in 2019.
The electric powertrain includes 20 kW Kessler ADRENALINE G20 electric motor, 10 kW Ecovolta Switzerland Lithium-Ion NMC battery, DC to DC converter and Type 2 charging. The electric powertrain features 102 kV architecture and engine water cooling.
The maximum range is 120 km, 0-100 % charging in 3 hours, maximum speed 120 km/h.
The car has new disk brakes on the front axle, new suspension, sport steering wheel, Abarth-style bumper and rims.
The clutch has been removed and the electric engine is connected to the original gearbox.
The car has German TUV, but is not registered at the moment.
The car can be seen and tested in Bunnik, Netherlands (Elipo B.V.).
It can be registered to the new owner in November, the new brand of the car is ZAS Electric, this is their car build no. 2, which was first presented at the Retro Classics fair in 2020.
